Getting Nursery Ready for Baby

CRIB NOTES

Always assemble baby’s crib inside the nursery!  You Crib is going to be the focal point, so spend some time choosing the right fit.  If your room is small, look for a crib in a lighter shade of wood or white with a simple design so that it does not overwhelm the space.  If your room is large, consider a dark wood crib so that it stands out.  A convertible crib is always nice, because when ready it will convert to a toddler bed.

DREAM THEME

A theme for the nursery can help you narrow your choices when it comes time to pick bedding, curtains, and other personal touches.  It is a way to welcome your baby and express your personal style.  Use a color to inspire you, but remember to avoid extremely bright colors, because they can be over stimulating.

Once you have selected the crib and bedding, look for accessories in a style and color that coordinate your theme.  Make sure to include a nightlight and lamp, clothes hamper, baskets and bins for toys, bookshelf, wall art to stimulate baby, and a shelf for all of baby’s photos and keepsakes.
